Receiving comments for Tuyên Quang - Hà Giang Expressway Project

On May 20, in Hàm Yên district, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee held a conference to collect opinions on the Tuyên Quang - Hà Giang expressway project (phase 1). Comrade Nguyễn Hưng Vượng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee chaired the conference.

Attending the conference were leaders of Tuyên Quang Newspaper, Provincial Women's Union, Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations, Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board; representatives of the Fatherland Front Committee and some communes of Tuyên Quang city, Yên Sơn district and Hàm Yên district.

The project plays an important role in meeting the demand for travel and freight to solve the bottlenecks in inter-regional and intra-regional traffic in Hà Giang and Tuyên Quang provinces.

Agreeing generally on the policy of building the Tuyên Quang - Hà Giang expressway, some delegates gave some more suggestions on compensation, site clearance, plans for resettlement, environment protection, etc to implement to project as efficiently as possible.

Comrade Nguyễn Hưng Vượng highly appreciated the opinions of the delegates, suggested that the investor seriously review them to implement the project more effectively and practically.

In addition, investors and functional agencies need to closely coordinate in compensation, site clearance, resettlement, environmental work, etc to ensure that the local people get the best benefit from the project. Comrade Vượng assigned the Fatherland Front and related agencies to promote propaganda about the project's objectives and practicality to create a high consensus among the people.
